St. John is the smallest of the 3 U.S. Virgin Islands,St. John is a lush natural playground, with more than two-thirds of its land dedicated to Virgin Islands National Park. Navigate rocky switchbacks in a rented Jeep to panoramic views of sparkling cays, or explore the island by foot on 25 hiking trails. Trek to prehistoric petroglyphs, past sugar-mill ruins and through tropical forests filled with kaleidoscopic flora.

99.9% of travelers come to St John by boat! St John has no airport. There are two ferries out of St. Thomas, the Crown Bay Ferry out of Charlotte Amalie and Red Hook. We always prefer to take the Crown Bay Ferry if flight times allow.

When leaving St. John you will depart from Cruz Bay on either the Crown Bay or Red Hook Ferry. See more information covering ferries below.

Ferry Ride


Everyone knows calories on vacation don’t count. We recommend a myriad of local restaurants. Most come included in the guidebook we email to you once you book. Some options we love are Longboard, Skinny Legs, Tap & Still, Woody’s, and Banana Deck. All these restaurants are close enough for a walk or a short taxi drive.

Explore our award-winning beaches and the Virgin Island National Park! St. John has over 27 miles of hiking trails that have beautiful views with waterfalls, rock carvings, secret beaches and more. Spot colorful tropical fish among reefs whole enjoying world class snorkeling.

Sightseeing & Culture


We currently have two property options available in St. John, a studio as well as a suite. Make sure you check out both options before you contact us so we are able to book the correct one.

The two properties are neighbors and can be rented in tandem as a two bedroom if needed.

Ferry Ride

Arrival & Departure in St. Thomas & St. John

From St. Thomas you will have to choose either the Crown Bay or Red Hook Ferry heading for Cruz Bay, St. John depending on flight times. The same is true when leaving. When Leaving St. John you will depart for either Cron Bay or Red Hook. We always prefer Crown Bay if times work out to arrive at the airport at least two hours prior to flight time.


Tickets can be purchased in advance, up to one week. (Bag tickets may not be purchased in advance.) Commuter books are available upon request and are non-transferable and void if detached from book.
